Body Repair/Paint shop near Guildford/Petworth :(

ARRGH!

I've only had the Zed for 7 weeks, and it's already in need of bodywork :(

So long story short, one of the guys at work has reversed a trailer into the passenger door. It's dented it and scraped the paint off it over about 8" square.

I'm furious, but the guy was really apologetic, came straight to tell me and said to just get a quote, get it sorted and he'd sort the money out.

I'm quite picky about who goes near my cars (I can't stand people who treat cars badly), and I really want it to be returned in the same condition it was before. Does anyone know of or have experience with a bodyshop in the Guildford or Petworth area? This is my rough area, but I will certainly travel if anyone can recommend a really good place a bit further afield!

My bodyshop guy is in Ash so probably too far away but he's great.

Sorry to hear about your car. It's so annoying when things like this happen. I acquired another dent last week from some mindless fool who doesn't care about anyone else's property...
 
How much would your man in Ash charge for a small dent in the bottom of the front bumper? Was thinking of using Chipsaway but heard bad things about them
 
Suspect he might be a similar price to Chipsaway...Could be £50-£80. Might be worth going to see Ian or Devan and let them take a look.

I've heard varying things about Chipsaway. They can vary depending on who you get.

Another guy who I used for dents (albeit quite some time ago), who was very good was Stuart at Axy-dent. Think he's based in Fleet. 07967 559949
 
Thanks guys. Wyldie could you pm me the details of your man, I'll drop him a line if I need his services. I've got a friend of a friend who's ace at bodywork who I've been speaking to so far; he says he can sort it for me, but I want to get a few quotes to be on the safe side!

Ed Doe, if you haven't got a quote finalised try Contactaspray in Guildford 01483 575844. We've used Paul a good few times over the past 15 yrs.
 
Thanks for all the info chaps. A good friend of mine who deals with accident repair etc (as well as airbrushing and custom paintjobs on £80k Harleys) has taken care of the repair and respray work. I trust him implicitly as his attention to detail on the Harleys is phenomenal.

I'll post photos up when I collect the car, which I'm hoping will be tomorrow evening. I've also got him refurbishing my 224m's, and sorting out a couple of other dinks in the bodywork from the previous owner, so I'm really excited to see how it looks now!
 
Does he or his company do wheel refurbs as a general rule of thumb?

My MV2's are in awful need of attention and I've been struggling on where to take them and also that someone will do a good job.

Have a couple of dinks too that could do with sorting...

Thread revival, wondered if the recommendations on here are still valid? Looking for someone near to Camberley as the guy who I was going to use is fully booked up until August :cry:
