BMWCCGB Zedfest, 26 – 28 July 2013, Silverstone Circuit

OG, I really enjoyed looking through your pics
I thought zedfest was just zeds!! Wish I'd have done my homework on the event and come along now :(
Where do all these people stay if they attend both days, on site camping or drive in both days!?

We stayed the full weekend and we drove in both days. We stayed at the organised Holiday Inn a few miles from Silverstone and convoyed with all the Z members from different forums and our own

Its a huge event and there were over 10,000 cars there this weekend. More than you can take in.

I saw an F50 so I asked the guy next to it if it was his and if I could photograph the engine. He said yes and it was his car, I asked him how long he had had it and he said oooo about 5 days!!!! I said wow! Then he said ye.. the F40 next to you is also mine! Jaw dropping on the floor and he showed me my dad and my friend will round. The cars were all cornered off for good reason and he was a really nice chap and wanted everyone to enjoy the cars. He said these cars are so rare I want people to enjoy them as much as I do. Some great people there and that seems to be the spirit of SC

Been through all my pics narrowed it down to 1000 :headbang:

Might take a while to sort so bare with.

Anway I said I would sort a few pics for my mate who was racing on the Saturday, he got me and dad a wristband for the race so got really close was amazing. Here he is his name is Tony Wood, races for my other friends Oliver Nuthall (they guy I did the Virgin Money Cyclone with) and Williams Nuthall (also racing over the weekend) dads team Ian Nuthall racing. My other friend Will Stephenson (also did the Virgin Money Cyclone) that a few of you met at the Cumbria National meet was working for them over the weekend too. They had 4 cars they were running, the car was a Tec mec Maserati, Race 7, Frollian Gonzalez trophy for HGPCA pre 61 Grand Prix Cars. He qualified 1st so this was him going out for a second time. Unfortunately the engine blew as he crossed the finish line. 120k for a new one ouch!!!

I was in pit no.1 kneeling down on the pillar as they come round and into the pit lane. Exhaust at ear hight bloody things sound amazing! But so loud!

Anyway heres the first one sorry no Z pics yet!

Some photos from me – hopefully I can get them up before Tom floods the thread with proper quality, therefore avoiding lowering the tone... Unfortunately I had a slight problem with my memory card in my camera (I loaded the blank from the PC instead of the card after checking it – :headbang: ), so many of my shots are from my iPhone. Also, WB left the time / date stamp switched on his camera, and I do not have the skills to remove it from the photos

Anyway, excuses over. To begin, some Zs :

Some Lamborghinis :

It is a shame you can't post smells on PB, because the new car smell from this, even three feet away, was unbelievable :

Luke dreaming :

And what a great dream :

Some Ferraris :

I will have this one please :

In the air and on the wheel :

Ready to cruise round the track :

A marshal humping a Z3 :

Rain stops play

lovely pics Bing - here's just a few more - mainly from the Sunday when only a few of us were left

Fantastic pics OG/Bing/jaxZ4
Really enjoyed looking through them and almost made me feel I was there too!

Cheers guys & gals. Been feeling we should've gotten round more of the event, but actually it was a really good day without seeing everything.

Some great pics there, Bing. Very impressive if they came off an iphone. I can't make mine do that :x

Only the ones without a date stamp on them were iPhone photos, the rest are WBs little Canon SureShot. I'm actually amazed at the quality of pics you can take with a phone nowadays.

ZermattV - a helicopter over Skye would be cool but probably nowhere near as good as driving the roads
