Oh no Taz!
I'm going to be driving around all week, my car will be a state if I come on Saturday but I've just no time. Taking bf to Dorset for the day on Friday then back late. It's not ideal but I guess I've never been a big fan of the old self car wash.

Jembo, that's a secret lol

RubyBlueZ4MC, our dirty cars will have to go at the end of the line up

Silverstone preparation has commenced. Cleaned it off last night because it was cooler no point cleaning in the day water just bakes straight onto the car.

Today it's warm but overcast so spent all morning claying it. Looks awesome so all afternoon will be spent polishing and waxing then tomorrow I will do the interior!

Exciting! Can't wait!

Although by the time I drive down it will be filthy again! Lol

I washed mine under a gazebo yesterday! Doing some polishing with the DA bit by bit. Bonnet and front & rear bumpers done so far. Just the tailgate and roof to do because the sides don't need it. Quick wash on Friday evening to get any dust off and an internal hoover & tidy up and she'll be good to go on Saturday morning.

Looking good! Would have gone with the gazeebo but it wouldn't have worked on my street. Definitely worth the effort! Ive just finished the bodywork today and im nakard! Hard work with the car being so low down with claying then quick detailing then polishing twice with a quick detail between each coat then two coats of wax going round the car 10 times with the heat im beat! Gave the engine a quick going over and the wheel arches. Will finish off by doing the interior tomorrow then its staying in the garage all week lol the Mini can do the work.

Just after I finished claying it this morn

Shame about your back Taz :( hope your feeling better before Saturday :)

- Update 20 July -

Due to a late change by the Silverstone Classic organisers we've had to revise the BMWCCGB layout. I've taken the opportunity to incorporate feedback received to date and the club has settled on the layout outlined in the diagram below.

Overall circuit plan (BMWCCGB between the numbers 8 and 12 on the diagram, note that the pink/purple area is tarmac, the blue area is grass):

This is how we will arrange the BMWCCGB area and the supporting forums on the Saturday:
ZedMFestlayout_Saturday2013_zpsa8f07bad.jpg

We will marshal participant's cars on each of the days as follows:

Friday
  • Selected cars plus first come first served on the ‘BMW Display’ area
MPower cars in the MPower area
Alpina cars on the Alpina area
Fill up the All BMW (14) tarmac area
Everyone else on the grass (no specific forum areas)

Saturday as per the layout diagram (MPower zeds will locate with the other zeds on the grassed area)

Sunday
  • E30s plus selected cars on the ‘BMW Display’ area
MPower cars in the MPower area
Alpina cars on the Alpina area
Fill up the All BMW (14) tarmac area
Everyone else on the grass (no specific forum areas)

Spent this morning getting the Zed ready for next weekend. Mequiars Swirl X on the bonnet and bootlid then did the whole car with Poorboys Black Hole Glaze followed by a coat of Poorboys Natty Wax and finally Mequiars Ultimate Quick Detailer. Will give the car a quick wash off on Friday night followed by another quick detail and it will be good to go

Tom, GJC72

Looking good! That beer will taste good Tom! I had a couple of ice cold San Miguels in the pub last night after my efforts!

No sun here today though. Been cloudy all day.

Long-term forecast for Saturday currently is 22c and sunny on:- http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/England/Silverstone~2637827/long.html

They forecast rain here next week so not sure when to clean,
and with all this dry weather its going to be that lovely sandy rain :(

Look closely, you've got 32 (22 + 10)

Ooooh, I stand corrected.

Thanks for keeping the Coupe's separate :poke:

Lol :D You mean the z3 coupes are separate I think. The z4-forum guys are all together, best of friends

Looks good to me!
Looking forward to the whole day. Hoping for nice weather too
Got to start cleaning now!

- UPDATE 21 July -

Just a reminder that this coming Tuesday (23rd July) is the cut-off date for letting the hotel know that you wish to partake in either the teas, coffee and bacon rolls on the Saturday or Sunday morning and also if you are planning to enjoy the Asian Buffet on either the Friday or Saturday evening.

So judging by the latest zroadster email we need to be in the car park for 8.15 for us to be organised onto the stand by 9. Ugh that's a 6 am set off for me then :(
