BMWCCGB Zedfest, 26 – 28 July 2013, Silverstone Circuit

The track parade signing-on sheet item 3 relates to the car being covered by insurance... My insurer wouldn't cover me on the track last year :?

Do you really need insurance for a parade lap? Your not actually going hell for leather its 15mph max isnt it? Is it really classes as such?
 
Yep its still considered track use and exempt from most policies. I checked out the insurance last year and the cheapest was £120... to go around a track, well, half around as it became a car park after that with everyone queueing to get back into the stands. I took the chance last year, but given the lateness of the parade lap this year, I'll probably have left by then anyhow.

In theory the max speed was to be 40mph. I think most people spent at least half the lap at considerably more... Until Jembo went all coy and wouldn't pass the lady in her Alpina sticking to the speed limit :roll:

Mine arrived today too.

I know what you mean - I've started machine polishing mine bit by bit. Just done rear bumper so far, rear tailgate, bonnet, front bumper and roof next.

Found out I brought the wrong ticket. I am upgrading and hopping I can get the sticker sorted but not confirmed!!
