Shame you see a few like this. When the recession hit in dubai many super cars were just left to rot in the blazing heat.

Here you go Taz...one of your mean machine

I haven't finished the photos yet but here's my first batch of interesting stuff I saw on the day...

And a personal favourite of mine - the 360 Challenge Stradale. Always lusted after these and this was the only one at Silverstone...

Another batch coming up soon, with a load of Zed's in it this time  :driving:

I was fortunate enough over 20 years ago to be taken out for a spin in an Ferrari F40 for an hour around Chesterfield/Baslow area. My Dad's friend owned one (as well as an M1, Lamborghini Miura, original Ford GT40 previously owned by Vic Damone). Not sure if he still has it or not, not seen him for years although I know he's had a 612 Scaglietti and a 458 Italia as well since.

Awesome pics orig gov! Looking forward to the second set!

It is a real F40 shocking some millionaire that lost a lot through property development left it. Awful! Think it has been done up now. Quick goole of Ferrari F40 Dubai will bring it up :)

You could be right jaRED - comparing with Autotrader pics, the side windows look all wrong :?

What a fantastic day, really enjoyed the whole day. Parade lap was the highlight 8) :driving:

My pics here http://www.flickr.com/photos/normstrm/sets/72157630716365948/

Another highlight on the way out was following an F40 - what a sound track  he headed through Silverstone village across to Whittlebury where he pulled into a hotel

I would like to add my thanks to myredzed and BMWCCGB for extending the offer of reduced cost tickets to us - much appreciated.

The rather lovely Alpina B3 GT3 (only 99 to be made and this being one of only two RHD versions in the UK). Had a very interesting chat with the Sytner guy about this car. It weighs about the same as 1 series, has 400+ Bhp, full Akrapovic exhaust, lightweight forged wheels weighing just 9kg each, 8-pot calipers, carbon fibre addenda everywhere and a rather tasty alcantara interior. All for £70k which makes an M3 seem a bit....well underwhelming. The chap also said that Alpina have a press embargo on this car at present until they are convinced any teething issues are sorted. Maybe this will appear in an EVO magazine soon...

Thanks Tom !

Last lot from me. It goes without saying that if you want any photos removing or reg plate numbers blanking out then please let me know and I'll edit asap.

Think this was the dough-nutting Z3MC

IMG_3615.jpg

Now some Z4's at last. My on-track pics aren't great because my co-pilot was taking photos and it was the first time he'd ever used a DSLR so quite a few of his photos were out of focus.

This chap seemed a good bloke, I don't think he's on the Forum although i did try to recruit. He was following me on the parade 'hoon' (aka lap) and was filming so I hope he joins!

Okay, last bunch from me, of the lap round the track.

Last minute prep...

...and a really quite good panorama by WB – I can’t see the joins in the three shots :

Offski , Jembo in the distance. By the time we went under the bridge we were going rather fast to say the least and still accelerating... Wasn’t really watching the speedo tbh. The conversation in my car sounded very similar to Taz’s as we went round the corner at the end

Continued hooning, right up to when we got stuck behind granny in her bright red Alpina :driving: ---> :x

What a fantastic experience – thanks to BMWCCGB and myredzed for getting us there, great to meet new faces and old etc. – looking forward to the next Z4-Forum get-together

Nice action pics Bing, really captured the flavour of the day,

Jem
