Okay, last bunch from me, of the lap round the track.

Last minute prep...

...and a really quite good panorama by WB – I can’t see the joins in the three shots :

In the queue creeping toward the track :

Offski , Jembo in the distance. By the time we went under the bridge we were going rather fast to say the least and still accelerating... Wasn’t really watching the speedo tbh. The conversation in my car sounded very similar to Taz’s as we went round the corner at the end :evil:

Continued hooning, right up to when we got stuck behind granny in her bright red Alpina ---> :x

Zs ahead as far as the eye can see, in front...

Joining the queue to the start finish straight :

Jembo & son tried to start a Mexican wave – didn’t catch on though

What a fantastic experience – thanks to BMWCCGB and myredzed for getting us there, great to meet new faces and old etc. – looking forward to the next Z4-Forum get-together

Stark did a lot 'innocents' throughout the day - we almost 'went onto the track the wrong way', 'jumped the pace car', 'slip off into the pit lane', and 'who's for a second lap' as we approached the exit!

Shame on you Stuart, you forgot my Toledo blue Alp Although I agree with you on those eyebrow thingys on the red Alp.

Quite a lot of breadvans too, must have been a reasonable percentage of the ones still on the road.

Yep for us at the back it wasn't quite as good as those first out so yeah a 2nd lap would have been great.. Still a good day tho. How many people get to drive on the Silverstone track!!

Well said sir. It's only a couple of pages back in this thread where there was huge concern over people driving like idiots on the day... Funny how after the event it's actually cool

It was an awesome experience and from what I saw the larger majority took the day as it was presented which was to be fun for everyone. I'm so glad I was on the same part of the track as the sensible drivers.

So I finally got my video up, complete with giggling from my wife and slightly losing it at Brooklands. Note I didn't get any briefing so didn't realise we were not supposed to overtake. As a result a few of us passed the lovely lady in the red Alpina. :evil:

Cheers Tom - WB just read your post and asked who you were... I showed him your Lakes meet photo stream and he was very impressed. He now wants a DSLR, photoshop and some photography lessons. Thanks for that... He'll be asking for a Z next

First timer to a meet and what a brilliant one to start on. Still got the big . Met some nice people, now got the bug to be at other meets when work allows.

Had a great day and loved the "parade" lap .... and amazing weekend.... on Sunday I got to drive on all the closed off parts of Brooklands race track and blast up the test hill with the vintage car boys
