original guvnor said:I looked at getting my tickets for the Saturday and Sunday at the weekend. I hadn't realised until then that the Zed Fest was part of a much larger event. I must admit to being a bit disappointed at that. It's no so much a celebration of BMW Zed's per se. It's a Classic Car event of which we will be a small minority by the looks of it. I'm still up for it though.
However for those of you like me who gave up camping in their teens, a word of warning. Nearly every hotel within 20 miles of the track appears to be full that weekend. Therefore I may end up just doing the Saturday if there are no Zed-specific events on the Sunday.
The Snoozebox rates for a rabbit hutch room trackside are scandalous.
The grand plan is to make the zeds the majority and the focus day for that is the Saturday. For the Friday and Sunday there will still be zeds on display (although not in such large numbers) however you could take in some racing for not much extra outlay. The BMWCCGB are open to ideas for zed-specific attractions/events - let me know what you'd ideally like to see and we'll explore those ideas.
Agree the sentiment on the Snoozebox rates; I suppose someone must be buying them though :erm:
