BMW Z8

Not very date specific but in movie chronology 007 goldeneye springs to mind when it got chopped in half :)

edit, doh, someone already said that :)

Love them. If only they drove as wel as they looked... (Because then i'd definitely buy one of course... :P )

Who cares how it drives, art on wheels and probably one of the best looking cars ever produced to date.

I just squint at my Z3 and it turns into a Z8, you can't do that with an E85 :)

Tim.

Golden eye was the Z3 Tomorrow Never dies the 7 series and the world is not enough the Z8 :P

They can be fettled pretty easily.. suspension is the suspect apparently…

My next door neighbour had one when they'd just come out, around the time they featured in the bond movie, made a lovely noise! Similar colour scheme to my Z, silver with red leather, just a lot more expensive!

Here you go Inkey$, I know you like Red.... and only 1982 miles on it!

I do indeed and 1982 matches the year I was born too [cough].

Link won't work for me. Probably a good thing :)

The one I posted was $189k in US not sure of the conversion but from some of the prices quoted here in Euros or Pounds (lol not sure about how your currency works) it doesn't sound that bad for such low mileage.

I really like the outside of the car, and the V8 would be nice, but the location of the instrument cluster is just really weird to me.

Hmm I don't understand how these command such high prices these days... but then again I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would pay £75k for an E46 CSL either.

I still really want a Z1 (probably something to do with an E30 being my first car) but £25k is just too much for a toy... One in need of attention came up a couple of years ago for £9k but was gone before I got to the dealership :headbang:

Yep no shet, car prices are crazy, I remember when Chrysler came out with the Prowler. They were quoted as MSRP mid 20's price range but dealerships marked them up into the 70's because they were rare.

Was in dealership this morning handing over keys for my Z4 to get it's first system upgrade, oil change etc. What should be reversing into the show room for display but 150k worth, according to the service receptionist, of a new Z8 left hooker. They are doing a promotion for the X4 and Z8 this evening. So might get a dodgy curry and cobra beer if I pick car up later.

Nice car but not 4x better than my Z4 I IMO.
