The going rate is different to a set of brand new wheels which from the original tyres have never been used vs a set with unknown milage how many refurbs etc
I think they are probably worth a bit of a premium over a set of 18 year old wheels with unknown history.
Think of it another way, if you cracked an alloy which I have on my Mini Clubman JCW one wheel from BMW was £800.
Dont see many "as new" on the market often just depends on where you see value.
