Anyone know how I can resolve the code P1056? It’s something with the Valvetronic having low input. Any help will be appreciated.
 
Is it a 2.0? Do you get the EML or engine symbol come on. Did the engine go into limp mode?

OK, what age car? ie. M54 or N52 engine? To simplify..... does it have a dipstick?

Though I have no real experience of the later N52 I believe it uses a similar method as the 2.0 to adjust the variable valve timing, and the code suggests an issue with the servo motor, which is what adjusts that timing.
