Bmw z4 top issue

Ok so we have replaced the pump motor and release cable.. the top will now up and down BUT if you put it ALL YHE WAY down it won't pull back up? The motor runs but the to don't move!! If we pull the release cable and pill the top up by hand it will then work again until you lower it ALL THE WAY DOWN again??? Wold any one call me to try and help me 7074585935 please

If your motor/pump is in its original location and not been relocated into the boot I would hazard a guess that the release valve that is operated by the red pull handle is stuck in and not allowing the pump to produce sufficient pressure to work the rams. If this is the case then the motor/pump needs relocating to the boot so you can work on it to solve any issue with the sticking valve or anything else. If it is the valve then some lube on it and working it in and out with a screwdriver will free it up.
