You sold your Z4? :o :( What did you or are you going to replace it with? And what happened to the SSR GT3's?

And for those who don't know flyingonzo, he's a very cool guy and was a regular on the old Z4um. And somebody snatch the Streamline CAI fast. Literally best CAI ever engineered/built for the M54 Z4. :thumbsup:

I'm not sure it wouldn't. I sold my Dinan air-duct & SE CAI after I got rid of my '04 and before my M arrived because I didn't think they'd fit. Well, I now know the Dinan duct definitely would've fit. The CAI might've been able to fit in place of the stock M air-box as well, but I'll never find out.
 
There is something about the MAF or ___ that prevents the use of 03-05 aftermarket CAI's. Honestly speaking, I don't know of any that fit the 06+ 3.0i.
 
Hey guys,

I really got really busy pretty much after z4um did its nosedive and really haven't had much time for much of anything: new job, new house, and a new member of the family (that really changes your life!). Here's a gratuitous kid pic:

Anyways, the car was parked for most of the year, even on great days during the summer as I didn't want to be leaving my kid behind on the weekends (weekdays are shot, as she's usually asleep by the time I come home). So, I reluctantly shopped for a car with rear seats. I started with the 135i, as it was branded a "bargain basement M". Don't believe it: it's fast, but half as involving to drive as the Zed. So, I kept on looking for a acceptable replacement and finally picked up my new grocery getter earlier this week. It's a great car, but I'll always have a soft spot for my Zed.

The plan will be to pick-up a MZ4 coupe or vert in a couple of years as a track car. I think I'll still lurk around here though. Maybe I'll finally be able to make it to homecoming!

p.s.: I might sell the SSRs - I'll have to pull them from my garage and check to see if they'll fit my new car first

Congrats on your new M. :thumbsup: I've been seeing some lately and they're growing on my FAST. I saw a space gray with red interior and can totally see myself driving that. I was gonna test-drive it and now I'm too scared to drive it (not really the best time for me to drop $75k on a new car, especially after how much I've put into my M). :D

The SSR GT3's will fit with spacers. Keep them man. They'll show off your brakes well.

It's a shame though how Streamline President apparently "ripped-off" some well intented Z4um.com buyers a few years back.

It's a shame how it all turned out, particularly how Jay really was a knowledgeable, helpful, contributing member of the community. Then, something snapped during the production of the CAI, and it all went south real fast. It's a shame really. The product is really nice.
