Hello all!
I've been lurking around these forums for awhile now and finally have a need to start posting. I've had my 2003 Z4 for 3.5 years now and recently it has obtained some minor body damage that I am taking as an opportunity to begin a project. I purchased fenders from another Z4 that was the same silver as mine to repair the body damage and also decided to pick up the Duraflex Hamann replica body kit from Ebay since the whole car is going to get repainted.
My question and reason for starting this thread is that I'm also in need of new shocks, struts and springs at the moment and if I'm going to be adding the body kit on along with eventually new 18 or 19" wheels, I figure that I should look into lowering it to complete the entire look. Suspension mods are something I have almost no experience in and was hoping that I could get some input here. I'm not looking to ever track the vehicle, so I don't think I would take full advantage of coilovers, but I would like the ability to adjust the height of my Z if needed. What would be the least expensive setup that I could look into if I'd like something that can be height adjusted but still maintain the same or better handling than stock? Do they make a strut/shock setup that will do something like this? If not, what are the least expensive coilovers that you guys would recommend?
