BMW Z4 geting owned by clio

czechT698, HAHAHA.... awsome way to say it.. exactly how I feel, and it is not that easy to get girls when you drive with a big "L" on the back with a 50 + year old man with little to no hair next to you :P Understand what you mean, but still we are pretty spoiled having the Z4 (eventhough it's a 2,5i) as a first car, or thats just the way I look at it

czechT698, hehe.. Im 18 in 2 weeks :) Have to wait and see if I get my license then though, have a tendency to drive too fast, our my driving instructor tells me that, not that strange when I am used to driving a Z4 :P
czechT698, Have you had your car for long, and which model is it :) ?

heh, I know what you mean, I got the Z when I was 17.5 so it was a long wait. (I use to take it for a spin when parents were not home) Even though its a 2.5i, I am very happy, the 3rd gear pull is awesome, but watch the starts on 1st, I often rev it too much which produces the funky clutch smell :D

and BTW, the girls love it :P

I was lucky enough to have a '00 Z3 2.3i as my first car. Back then 175HP sure felt pretty quick. :D Nothing wrong with owning a sports car at an young age. Just remember to be respectful and to appreciate the car. And don't do stupid things in the streets.

clio isnt a williams its what is known as a valver, they have the bonnet bulge too

1.8 16v

not slow but not quick
i distory my mates in my clio,
ive had a few 2.5s in my 2.0 clio but as you say there is a bit of a class element involved.as long as you respect another car for being faster thats fine.
for a track toy the clio wins, but for a pimping front the zed lol

oh yes we are :D People either love me or hate me  But it´s still OK, in my school there are worser cases, like my friend with his new Carrera 4S. My biggest problem is that I am not capable of controling my speed in town, I mean, you press the gas a little and 50 becomes 120 before you even notice :D It´s an excelent car but after driving it I always feel guilty for giving the clutch such a hard time :headbang:

PS: about the 2.5i engine, don´t worry about it, girls don´t give a crap about engines :D

GP20, Yes, sometimes I have to watch it because for a fresh driver the Zed is a very powerful car... But in a sports car, everything is more sensitive so at least I will gain experience quickly, I have to be responsable however and do my best not to get provoked by cheap-o people in cheap ricer cars and their barbie wannabe girlfriends as well as fart can exhausts. :D

Your 17 and have a Z4 and your friend at school has a carrera 4s! What sort of a school is it?? Do the teachers all look like Eva from nuts mag

Wish someone would give me a free car!!

I am happy with what I have and even through all this I can say that I am not spoiled, the car was a thanks for what I had to go through life because of the nature of my dads work that made us travel all across the world. :)

So you got lots of holidays and a free Z4? Man life is tough! :P

In conclusion, yes. :) But IB is braking my balls... I manage to keep a good great balance and not miss all the parties which is quite impressive :P

Hehe.. it is true about the girls part :P hehe... holy sh#t a carrera 4s, I have the coolest car among my friends, and in my school for that matter :D

I worry about loosing my license when I first get it, the police are very strict in Norway, atleast with the young drivers

BMW_Z4_Norway, yeah that sucks, good thing is, that here you can at least try to "negotiate" if you know what I mean... :P BTW, I like your rims, really nice, are they 18 to 8? I also need a set, but not more than 18 so i dont ruin the way it fells on the road. :)

hehe.. wish the police would be that "nice" here :P Thanks, "18 to 8???? The last owner bought them for the car, he said the rft's had way to hard rubber so did not function that well in the rain and that these once had much better grip :)

ElegantSpoon, aaah, do not rember, the car is in the garage, no wonder the fuel consumption was crap, had a hole in the tank  Think the wheels are 225 if im not mistaken

BMW_Z4_Norway, man today morning when going to school I noticed a strange sound when starting the car up, it rides perfectly fine but when I twisted the key it made a sound like if you hit an empty can with a spoon or something.(the startup noise is always strange with these cars but today it was a little more funky than normally) :( Hope this is normal cuz I ain´t got no money for theoretical repairs. :D It´s good that your car came with aftermarket rims because the prices of new ones are a pain in the @ss :) What I like are them M6 replicas, but those are out of question since they let people see a lot of the OEM rust :)

czechT698, Funny the exact same thing happened to me like a week ago... my car is in the shop now so hopefully they will figuer it out, never happened since, my car mostly stands still though since i do not have my license yet, maybe that can have something to do with it :( Hehe... I know, I was so happy, it was the thing that caught my eye over the other zed's in the ads :D Big fan of the M6 once aswell, but you make a good point, im playing with idea of getting some 19" CSL replicas :sweetheart: :sweetheart:

BMW_Z4_Norway, strange, keep me posted on the startup issue, I´m really anxious to find out what it was about since I could have the same problem :( Yeah cls replicas are awesome, but if you go for them I reccomend you stick to 18" so you don´t spoil the sporty feel of the car as well as the acceleration and handeling :)
