Anybody follow BMW on Facebook? They've just posted about the 'all-new BMW Z4 First Edition' coming soon....

WTF is that??!
 
Im sure when they done this with the i8 they were special edition limited run cars.
Maybe it will be something similar with special paint colours for a limited number of cars.

Ah OK. For a second I was thinking there might be multiple 'editions'...
 
Just profile pushing for the New shape Zed. Plus they will then charge a premium for several neat extras, that become standard features a few month's later. No doubt there's folk out there with enough to splash who will snap them them up. :roll:

More likely they'll be heavily under-discounted :wink:
 
I just don't like the idea of the First Edition, even tho they're marketing it as a limited number of cars. Plan to wait and see what discounts are available at launch. From memory I got £2k off the E89 sDrive 23i, which I ordered February 2009 after the UK specs were finalised and collected it May 2009.
 
Did anyone on here order one of these? I signed up on the interest register but never heard anything, so just went with the standard M40i and a couple of options

I noticed today the pricing for this model is £54,380 so it's about £5k extra. Still doesn't seem to be officially listed in many places though so I'm wondering where the UK allocation is actually ending up :?
 
Had the opportunity to order one , when bought mine in early november .
After a closer look to the specs , decide was not interesting for me .
Cannot have few options , wrong color and high price for the " exclusive first edition " (plus 13950 euro /12130 GBP) , but as i already wrote seems to me in UK BMW are cheap to buy ...
At the end i had to pay 65 quid less for mine than for this one , with much more options tricks and bits . :rofl:
