Hi all can anybody help with spacers for the e89 need to know what the best size is for front and rear with standard 18" alloys ?

I had a e85 previously and had 15mm front and 20mm rear just need to know what the best size would be .

Pictures of my E89 to follow once i get a chance to take some in this lovely weather.

Hope everyone had a good xmas and happy new year !

Thanks

buy your self a set of 5 long wheel stud convertors, 5 open wheel nuts & a box of 100 M12 washers. Install the stud convertors, stack up washers on the studs, install & torque down the wheel properly, lower the car see how the wheel sits & repeat until you get the adjustment you want.

Just to clarify, knowing how many washes, their individual thickness and thus the total will tell you what size spacers to get, I just had this vision of you driving down the road with the washers as the spacers :D

Yeah  assuming people have some common sense is a bad thing

Also, I normally use inside callipers for the job of measuring.

If you want to calculate what's safe and what may be suspect have a read of this.

Yep the hardest part of engineering design is trying to predict how the item you are designing shouldn't be used and the consequences thereof, fortunately for me our combined QA manager and safety officer knows how to ask the really dumb questions
