NO LONGER NEEDED BMW Z4 E85 Front Lower Inner Splash Cover Nearside with temp sensor

BMW Z4 E85 Front Lower Inner LHS Splash Cover with temperature sensor. Mine got mostly ripped off on a high kerb whilst swinging around very slowly. Anyone who's breaking a Z4 E85, I believe any year will have one of these. It's the one attached to the front nearside wheel arch protector directly behind the headlamp and bumper. Just be good not to have the sensor dangling!! Do PM me if you've got one or know of one... A few pics and diagrammatics... Many thanks Scott

Hi Scott, just to warn you there is a particular stress in the way these are affixed that they break very easily. This is especially true of the near side/passenger side. Therefore, there are very very around in good condition and they are quite expensive. If you can’t find one good enough, don’t be shy about buying a cheaper one that needs some plastic welding/stapling.

Thanks for advice Ben, I had a check again of my smashed up one, it has lost too much on two sides to be rescuable! Yes have seen for sale on Fleabay and even there the left hand one had a crack in the angled joint' so was looking at how to plastic weld, or even just melt a bit of the original onto it, or use the old chloroform to weld it or another 'glue' as I use in plumbing pipe connections. Your help and thoughts always welcome, thanks so much!

So glad to report I have managed to purchase a complete part and with just a very small and repairable split, I found a great E-bayer who seems to be breaking cars and really cares for his clients, and took the trouble to call me when the part went walkabout with the Post Office, but they got it tracked down and it was on my doorstep with good bubble wrap within 48 hours. Thanks Ben again for your help and advice Thumbsup

Finally fitted last week and now temperature sensor works a treat rather than the default -40° which also stopped the internal auto aircon working. All associated faults cleared on car now! Zero faults until last night. Blooming n/s dipped beam blown after only 15 months!!
