History
Purchased end of April 2020 as a bit of a stop gap as it had the ultimate combination of 3.0 straight six and manual gearbox. My BMW 530e lease came to an end and in those uncertain times I decided to purchase this lovely Z4 to tie me over as always fancied one till I decided what best to do, and I’ve absolutely loved it and not really sure I want to sell to be honest.
It was a honest car when I bought it and I have upgraded various areas listed below, firstly I had undertaken a full service by my local mechanic friends who I have used over the years (two Jaguar engineers) and had the CCV changed (done properly with inlet manifold gasket changed) as good measure and had two new post cat lambda sensors (BOSCH). I also then had the rocker cover gasket changed (found a slight weep) and 6 new NGK BKR6EQUP spark plugs fitted. I got a little carried away with the car money wise but felt it needed some investing in for time I have used it and to ensure new owner has a record of everything that needs commonly doing on these as its joy to drive.

Biggest difference is the car now breaths properly and sounds lovely, even better with the sports button on. The gearbox is now as smooth as you can expect for the age and model, the gearbox oil change has made a massive difference. Engine and gearbox drive as they should, feel tight with plenty of power when needed. Almost new tyres on the front (Pirelli P Zeros) and Dunlop run flats on the rear.
When I purchased the car I cleaned the roof with Auto Glym Roof Cleaner and REVO Renovo Soft Top Reviver, finished with Autogym Protector, I would say its in good condition for 16 years old. I naturally took out the drain bungs and rodded the drains then tested with a drain camera and ran water downside multiple times and roof drains work perfectly, motor has not been relocated but functions fine.
I was not keen on the headlight condition when purchased the car so used the 3M 3Lens System, Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit and they came up pretty good.
I then upgraded the headlight bulbs to LED, they are now lovely and bright white and no errors on dash as coded out, main, dipped and fog light bulbs. I’ve also upgraded all interior bulbs to LED.
The car has standard Sat Nav and this works, I also got the standard Bluetooth working for calls but could not stream music, so I upgraded this also. The car now has (in place of CD input) a Bluetooth connection capable of streaming music and taking calls with mic installed (cables all hidden) I had to purchase this from Germany to get the mic option, but worth it.
Refreshed the centre break light with a new unit and new centre caps for the alloy wheels, I also refurbished the leather seats and they look very nice for the age in my opinion.
There is receipts for a recent new battery from 2019 and air conditioning condenser (nice and cold) with a recent re-gas.
The car is 16 years old, but body work is in good condition really given the age.
Car is located in Warwick, CV34.
Test drives upon production of comprehensive insurance, or just mask up and I’ll take you for a spin with the roof down.
Price:
£4,250 OVO.
