Bmw Z4 E85 3.0 Manual // Clutch not working

Hello guys good afternoon, we’ll my friends got a 2006 Bmw Z4 3.0 manual transmisión and yesterday we were driving to a mall and we turn on “sport mode” in the highway,

well when we arrived the place we turned off sport mode and the clutch of the car just got hard so we decided to park the car and when we parked and turned off the car to check what happen, we wanted to turn it on again and the car won’t start because the clutch is not like working and it’s so hard to press.

We tried to start the car pushing it and when we try to put 1st gear the car doesn’t let us.

Any idea of what’s the issue? We had to leave the car at the mall and today we pick it up and bring it home in a tow truck.

The car won’t show anything in the dash and it’s not even doing anything when I try to start it, clutch is still like really hard to press and does not do any click.

The clutch is hydraulic and isn't affected by the sport button in any way. A difficult to press clutch pedal can be related to a few issues, my first guess is that the clutch cylinder has gone sour. These are relatively inexpensive to replace and don't require a ton of work if you want to do it yourself (as long as you have the ability to bleed the hydraulic system)

Other issues that are more serious/difficult to repair are going to be related to moving parts inside the transmission housing and will require a lot of effort/money to fix.

It's likely *just* a simple problem caused by wear and/or age on really normal parts that can be easily repaired at any dealer or Euro specialty shop.

You need to get a code reader on the car.
This is unlikely to provide any pertinent info to the issue at hand, but is always worth checking once in a while.

Alright and is there any way to turn on the car with that issue? Cause we gotta at least turn on the car but the car doesn’t want to turn on, I don’t know the reason.

He’s mechanic told him that they gotta pull down the transmission to change a few parts of the clutch apart from the clutch.

If the clutch cannot be pushed in far enough to engage the safety switch, then the engine will not start.
It's been several days, any results?

Hello good afternoon,

the car has been sitting in my garage for all this months because no one could fix it… I’m still trying to find out how to start it

No crank and no codes in the OBD (at least about clutch or transmission stuff)
