BMW Z4 e84-85 steering wheel conversion from right to left hand drive

Hi everyone am new here in the forum thanks for adding me. I have this idea in mind of buying a RHD BMW Z4 and convert it to LHD has anyone here had done such Conversion or know any one who had done it. I would really appreciate any kind of help. Also, which would be easier to convert Auto or manual gearbox.

Maybe you could hook up with the guy wanting to convert his Si to an ///M and go for a really, really crazy money-pit project :wink:

Adding in a turbo would make it complete :roll:
 
OP must originally be from Portugal. Some cars are 5 times the price of UK. It would still never make sense as most EU countries with high car costs charge huge import taxes or 'matriculation'. Completely illegal in EU law but countries would rather pay fines than not protect their car dealers. The only help I would give you is don't even try it. Regardless of what your original thinking was.
 
it's not just moving the wheel is it ?
it's got to be pedals, carpets, dashboard, Door Switches, Mirror ECU, Headlamps, locks, Airbags? Wipers, slam panel, boot release on the wrong side - plus many things I probably haven't even thought of.

Absolute nightmare compared to the cost of just buying a LHD car

The lhd steering column is a different part from the rhd version, so maybe it isnt even possible at all without buying the lhd part.
Also the complete brake system has to be converted. I wonder if that (brake booster, abs pump etc) even fits on the rhd body, as the lhd and rhd body are also different parts.

Other options to add to those mentioned above in one list........

Left hand conversion
Upgrade to an M at the same time or a V8 or V10.
Twin Turbo
Add a supercharger or two or even three
Wide Body
4 Wheel Drive
Lower it. Scraping the ground low.
Add a bit of Stance too for that completely ridiculous look.
Add another two seats in the boot
