Hi guys,
i've got a Z4 2.2i SE regirstered Jan 04, just been on the phone to BMW about a cruise control retrofit set, they're ringing back with price. Thinking £57? am I right? also the bloke said he thinks the engine or wiring needs to be programmed is this right? thought it was a case of bang in and go? any help appreciated

Just did mine yesterday, there is a guide on here, cost £57.00 no wiring needed, plug and play. Trim the cowling and off you go
 
No programming needed, as Z4Alfie said Plug and Play did mine last year just bought the CC stalk and trimmed the cowl 20 min job done :thumbsup:
 
Ah thanks guys thats great. BMW phoned me back and quoted me £150 for part, £48 for programming, total cost for labour and fitting £450! I told them its registered Jan 04 and they still were pushing for programming etc. Where can i purchase for £57 please?

Just phone a Stealers and order the stalk. The part number is on one of the threads in the How To section. You don't need the kit - just the stalk.

That is quite simply shocking :o

I was quoted £300 for supply and fit about 3 years ago... never mentioned anything about programming though. But it won't need it :D

i'll be ordering mine on Tues, can't wait. Always had MX-5 but the Z4 really is a sports car and beautiful to drive
