BMW Z4 6 pot roadster/coupe £6k and under

Morning all

Finally sold my 118d (thank god) but I got less than I was expecting (boo!), So I now have a max budget of around £6000 but I would probably prefer to spend less if I could.... you know how it is!!

I would like either a 2.5 or a 3.0, not really interested in any of the other engine sizes.
I would probably slightly prefer a coupe, but I think my budget is going to get me a roadster
I would prefer manual, but wouldn't discount an auto if the spec/price was right
Has to have heated seats, but the more goodies fitted the better

The closer to Norwich/Norfolk the better as travelling can be a little difficult at the moment

If anyone has anything feel free to reply/PM me, I have already seen most in the classifieds and nothings taken my fancy that I could afford lol!

*edit*

Zed plans are on hold for now, but I will get one one day!!!!!

Good luck.
I'll certainly keep my eyes open for you around my area as it's not too far away.
Don't forget to keep a little cash in the pot for the inevitable mods you'll be persuaded are essential

Theres a coupe out your area on the Facebook, been reduced from 9 to 8, and now to 7 but the MOT history is a little suspect and the comment of "some history" has just put me off! it is pretty though lol

Dont mention mods the wife might hear

Im not against modified cars either.... any exhaust mods would be most welcome, as im incredibly immature when it comes to that sort of thing

There you go. Under budget by quite a way. Leaving room for any bits you want to see to or amend.

:D Exactly!! It’s fate surely! :poke:

Yeah I had seen that one in Colchester which is only just over an hour away for me.

I was a little put off by the short ownership, and the hole (although small and water tight) in the roof

But I’m by no means an expert on zeds so maybe I should have a re think

I've mentioned possibly selling mine in this thread https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=121828

I'm not actively listing it but possibly looking at jumping into an e89, see what you think and we can discuss further if you're interested

That definitely sounds like the sort of car I’m on the lookout for, it’s just the logistics of getting to north wales with one car and a five year old at the moment lol can you even travel to wales yet?

Feel free to send me some more photos so i can try and persuade the mrs!

After talking to probably the most honest bloke I’ve ever had the pleasure of speaking to while buying a car I made the decision that right now a zed isn’t the car for my needs, I don’t doubt one day I will own a coupe in silver grey as they are stunning but right now it just wouldn’t work.

So today I put a deposit down on a F56 Mini Cooper s, I’ve never laughed so much while driving a car, it’s a hoot, makes all the right noises and has warranty which is what I need while i pay my last few loans/debts off etc

So for now I’m not in a zed but I’m going to lurk around the forum and one day I’ll join in the fun properly!

Sorry you haven’t got another member for the local meets yet unless a mini can tag along lol

Not the first to join up & swerve at the last minute  Cooper S F56 a great car but after spending months finding one for my daughter £6k would struggle to find you one :? got her one in the end but £7k upwards & more like £8k for anything decent sub 80k & £9k / £10k for 50k cars .

Mini Cooper s was the biggest pile of crap car I’d ever bought. Engines are crap and love to piss oil. I’d bought from a dealer too. As soon as the 2 year warranty ended it had a never ending oil leak. Fix one and another cake along.

It had also had about 3ks worth of work on warranty. When it was working it did sound great and drove great. Good luck man!

Yeah it cost a a bit more than my initial budget  but has only done 13000, is approved used from main dealer, has a years warranty and is cheaper to run so it all balances out over the years ill be keeping it for.

Blimey. All that huffing and puffing and after all that... no Z4.

Hope you enjoy the Mini.

The zed will happen one day, but im not in a position to have a weekend car yet, so had to compromise with a fun daily.

Gotta do whats right for you mate  Hope you enjoy the mini cooper

Thanks ever so much for your help/advice, at the moment a zed wouldn't have been a wise choice, but give it a couple of years when I have a nice empty garage I will have one as a weekend car!

The mini is great fun, lots of turbo flutter and ASBO exhaust crackles in sport mode which just made me laugh like the childish petrol head I am lol
