BMW Z4 3.0si Sport Auto 2006 (e85). £4500

104,000 miles (and counting)
MOT’d on 14th January 2021 – no advisories.
Full Service History, with large folder of invoices for work carried out.
Full HPI Report available.
Private registration is not included but I’m happy to discuss selling it.
The car is located in Sheffield.

The car never misses a beat and has never let me down. For a roadster this is a lovely cruising car, effortless to drive with the power there when you need it. I took it to Scotland in September and it was as at home in Edinburgh city centre as it was winding through the highland twisties. In short it drives beautifully and changes gear as it should with no knocks or clunks. This is my second E85 Zed and I liked this one so much I’m only selling it to part fund and upgrade to shiny new G29.

Summary of specification.

• Multifunction f steering wheel.
• M Sport electric and heated seats. Blue half leather- no rips or tears but driver bolster showing signs of age, again please see photos.
• Cruise control.
• Xenon Lights.
• Upgraded stereo with Bluetooth connectivity for phone. The original BMW unit will be included in the sale.
• Cup holders - both work perfectly.
• Sport button/ flappy paddles all working as they should.
• Folding mirrors.
• Roof works perfectly and is in very good condition, completely watertight, no leaks etc. New roof motor relocated to the boot.
• Drain holes checked regularly BMW upgraded speaker system.
• Car comes with a half car cover that completely covers the soft top and boot.

Not so good points:

• The alloys are not perfect but not too bad. the photos show them very well.
• It could do with a new front offside disk and pads, some judder under heavy breaking but not enough to bother the MOT tester and something I should have done if I had more time.
• Paintwork has the normal age-related marks but nothing outrageous (please see photos).

Work carried out over the 18 months:

• Transmission service/oil/filter change + rear differential oil change.
• Both front-to-back brake pipes replaced.
• Front suspension arm.
• Front anti-roll bar links.
• 4 shock absorbers (Bilstein b4).
• 4x suspension mounts/plates.
• 4 Yokohama sport tyres.
• New (not recon) roof motor pump.
• Trailing arm bushes replaced.
• Front ARB bushes.
• 4 wheel alignment.

Feel free to ask any questions if you are genuinely interested. Test drives welcome with proof of insurance and the usual COVID precautions. As ever if you break it you’ve bought it and speeding tickets are your problem 😉 I’m pretty sure that the first to see this will buy it.

That's not going to hang around at that price in the current climate :o that is a cheap 3.0si

Thanks for the reply. The price just reflects that the brakes need some TLC and the overall condition of the bodywork, I'd also like it to go to a Forum member. All the oily bits are in fine fettle so here's an opportunity to have a Zed that can just be enjoyed as is or turned into a cosmetic project.

Some folk have asked for close ups of the bodywork damage.

Cheers guys, i've posted in the newbies section about missing a 2.5SI at Anglia auctions at the weekend - so hopefully this will fill the quota!

You may have dodged one on the auction car, at the miles with the likely additional costs. This one is a better option and of course, it’s a 3.0si.

Good luck, hope you get fixed up soon.

Yep, my one is much better. Libs and I have PM'd so he knows the score. I have had many messages so I have a queue in place but the car remains under the "For Sale" banner as no deposit has been offered/taken.

Cheers for the PM. Seems like i am always just too late! Missed out on the 2.5Si in York by a whisker too.

Waaaaaay too many contacts on this one, I've marked it as sold, the people in the queue know who they are.
