Hi there,

For sale is my beloved BMW Z4 3.0si. I have owned this car since around April 2016 - and loved every minute of it. It's now time for me to get something more practical as I will be buying a house in the near future.

I could give a huge write-up of the car but instead i'll leave you with a pro's and con's list to make it easier. One thing I will say is this car has been fantastic to me, I have owned it since 80,000 miles and all I have had to do mechanically is replace a part of the exhaust (technically not even mechanical!). The car is currently sitting on 97,000 miles.

The car is a 2006 model. I currently have a personal plate on the car so will be putting it back on to it's old plates before selling.

Good Areas

- Had a brand new clutch and dual mass flywheel at 79,000 miles

- Has had a brand new roof fitted in January 2018 (including headliner) due to somebody slicing a hole in the previous one. I had this done through my insurance and cost the insurance company around £1600 to replace.

- Has had a full bonnet respray due to scratches (January 2018)

- New Brembo discs and brake pads all round in February 2018

- Full service history, by full I mean there is paperwork for every single penny that has been spent on this car. Any serious buyers are more than welcome to look through it.

- Has been serviced at least every year, and has just had it's Inspection 1 this year. I have only had it serviced at Darren Wood in Stockport (BMW specialist - better than a main dealer)

- Has four Pirelli P7 Cinturato tyres, all with a good amount of tread left. These tyres are the best runflats you can get and cost upwards of £200 per tyre.

- There is absolutely nothing wrong with the car, it runs like new. I have never driven it hard and have never revved too high whilst cold. I always wait for the engine to warm up before taking it above 3k rpm.

Other Points

- There is a slight wearing of the red leather on the drivers seat. This was due to chewing gum sticking to the seat and I scrubbed a little too hard to get it off. This can be sorted with touch up leather paint. Again, I haven't had the time to do this myself.

- There are a few very minor age related marks on the vehicle, these are your standard small stone chips and very light scratches. A lot of these would come out with a good compound polish.

I have been as honest as possible in this listing and priced accordingly. I am not in a rush to sell so please don't make any silly offers. The mileage will go up slightly as I will still be using the vehicle.

Asking price is £6,250

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks :D

Sounds like a nice car, GLWTS
Unless I’ve missed it, you haven’t listed the current mileage?

Bump!

Car has been MOT'd today, passed with flying colours. Only advisory is slight corrosion to rear brake pipe.

Price is now reduced to £5900. Still not in a terrible rush to get rid, just seen a few cars that I like so getting quite excited for a new one! If the window is putting anyone off, please let me know and I will look at getting it repaired.

Thanks,
Pete

Will certainly be more attractive to buyers with the window fixed as its an unknown cost them on top of the selling price. Cars does look to be in very good condition. GLWTS

I am getting the window repaired this month.

I am keen to sell ASAP as I have seen a new vehicle that I like.

Price is now reduced to £5000 ONO for a quick sale. Mileage is now on 102k.

Would anyone like to make me an offer?

The window should be fully repaired within the next week or two, I want to get my hands on a 3 series diesel that I've seen! Going to be driving quite a lot more miles from now on so need something more economical :D

Thank you :D

I think the price is fair, maybe a little bit under priced but we are heading into winter so demand is probably quite low at present.

This looks great - very tempted.

A few questions:

1. Where are you?

2. Has the water pump been changed?

3. Was the roof motor changed / relocated when the roof was replaced?

Thank you,

Dan

Hi Dan,

I’m located in Stockport, Manchester. The water pump hasn’t been replaced (as far as I’m aware). The paperwork is very comprehensive and nothing says that it has been done.

The roof motor was replaced before I took ownership, I can’t remember the exact date but I can dig out the receipt and let you know?

Peter.

Just an update, window has been fixed today. My pocket is £250 lighter but it now works flawlessly.

Thanks,
Peter

Hi,

I am just wondering if there is anyone interested? If not I think I’ll remove it from sale and relist it after winter has passed.

Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter, I'm new on here but have been lurking for several months. I'm interested in your car but as luck would have it I'm a little stuck to come and view until next week due to work and transport. Don't think I can pm you on here as this is my first time writing anything on the forum (only joined today!)

My email is [email protected] should you wish to contact me privately

Many thanks,

Greg

Hi Greg,

I am happy to wait until next week if you are wanting to come and view.

Where are you located?

Kind regards,
Peter

Ok great. I will keep you updated then. I'm not too far away, Colwyn Bay in North Wales. I just need to sort a day and transport out to come over. Should be able to give you a date and see if it's good for you in the next couple of days.

Thanks,

Greg

Hi Greg,

No problem.

I will PM you my phone number in case you need to call (I'm not often on here).

Regards,
Peter
