Hi guys,

Its a sad day but I am selling my beloved Z4.

Due to a change in personal circumstances, its not practical for me to have this car and I will end up spending a fortune of fuel and the mileage will sky rocket.

I am open to constructive criticisms and how I can improve the add but its been several years since I've placed a car ad and am a little out of touch.

The negatives are minor and I am maybe my pricing isn't right, not sure but happy to listen. I know what I want ideally but happy to discuss further.

I am looking in the region of £6-6.5k but will entertain serious offers close to that value.

Now at £6k but will to listen to offers in that region so please get in touch.
Ideally looking to sell before Sunday comes around.

Thanks
Pri

I would personally, get the oil leak resolved.
it will put off a potential purchaser, as they will not know what work will be required to resolve it.
the other issues are not likely to put people off, as they are relatively obvious to put right.
just my thoughts, good luck with sale.

Thats for advice pal.

When I asked at the garage, they said they couldn't locate it as there was a minimal amount but obviously had to note it on the advisory.
Since I've had it back, there hasn't been any leaks/drops on the floor which makes it all the more difficult :headbang:

I think the price you are asking is for a car that’s fault free to be honest.

If you don’t want to get the bits done I expect a few people may take a punt at £5k but not much more if I am honest.

It’s a great project for someone and with a little work would be a sorted car.

I am currently looking for a project but this is out of my price range unfortunately.

Best of luck with the sale though OP 👍

Thanks bud.
I've dropped the price down to £5800 after looking around at other cars. Think I was more hopeful than anything.
I am open to offers but think realistically, £5500-£5600 is the lowest I'd want to go down to.

Personally, I think that at that relatively low mileage that's a very cheap price for a 3.0Si.

I wouldn't really describe it as a "project". This (and several others that I did in the past) was a "project":

That's a 12 year old Z4 with a few very minor issues, none of which would particularly give me cause for concern, save the for: "...the A/C needs a re-gas".
That's really bad thing to put in an advert...if that's all it really needs get that done as no one ever believes that statement otherwise because it just sounds like: "The A/C is expensively broken."

The gearbox weeping is probably nothing from your description and just an MOT tester 'finding something' to make it seem like he's doing his job properly.

I guess if you're desperate to sell then you go low, however it's so low and with the eBay add going overboard on minor problems it could ironically put buyers off.
Without the pressures to sell quickly and with all the minor issues fixed this is a 7k + car all day long.
Someones in for a bargain here.

Thanks for the comments guys, really appreciate the feedback.
If it doesn't sell by tomorrow, I will get the air con regassed and work on the minor issues.

BMW Lancaster MK inspected the car today as part of their complimentary healthcare check and found no faults at all which included them check the apparent oil leak which was on the advisory.

I am gutted to be selling at a low price but personal circumstance is forcing the sale

I've got to say I agree with some of the above posts. I was very very tempted to buy this but the way you kept dropping the price was ringing alarm bells for me, probably unjustly but it scared me off.
GLWTS I really do hope you sell for a decent price.

Hi
Just started looking today and may be interested. ? How loose is bumper as I would have a long drive home if I bought

Quite. That's either a load of free motoring or a quick profit for someone. Crazy money.

Is it too cheap and that's putting people off?!

Hi Ewan, the bumper wouldn't be an issue at all. Its literally the side clip/bracket which needs replacing. I drive it for miles every day and no issues.

This really shouldn't be as difficult as it is. Maybe its worth sorting out at air con and bumper clip but given my luck, it wont make any difference to the price.

Seriously mate , id be happy to give you the money tomorrow if you were local , you are asking too little .
You should take a step back , remove the car from market both here & elsewhere & start over .
Get the car prepped properly , pictured properly & word the advert in a positive manner .
With little effort i would expect to list that car at £7150 & it be gone in a week , 10 days at most , you could even try at £7450 if you feel like playing the game for a few weeks .
Best of luck

+1 I totally agree with Mr Wilks. The car is worth more and being too cheap can even put people off
