Hi Mo,

Is it still for sale? I'm quite interested. You mentioned you have a couple of invoices from previous owners, so I've got a few questions that you could perhaps help me with.
  1. OFHG & Oil Pan Gasket: Do any of the invoices show if the Oil Filter Housing Gasket or the oil pan/sump gasket have been replaced? Have you noticed any oil sweating down the front of the block or pooling on the plastic undertray?
  2. Water Pump: Is there any history of the electric water pump and thermostat being swapped out?
  3. Rear Diff Bush: Did you manage to sort the slight rear diff bush knock you mentioned earlier in the thread, or does that still need doing?
If you've got answers for that it'd be great.
 
Hi, sorry for the late reply…just saw this. Here’s answers to your questions:

1. No receipts for these however neither are weeping/sweating. If they needed doing I would’ve done them as they are fairly easy to do.

2. No to these. I might check the pump and see if I can tell if it’s original. It’s operating fine so didnt change it. People usually change them at 60k hence since it operates fine didnt do anything with it.

3. I don’t recall saying there is a rear diff bush issue. I don’t believe it needs doing.

Being at 103k miles I would have to take the gasket not being done and water pump into any potential offer as there are a lot of vehicles with them done in similar price ranges. Out of interest have you had any offers or people viewing the car. I'm happy to discuss further if you'd like to private message me, I would have already but I think I haven't reached the message minimum yet.

I’ve had lots of messages - probably too many messages - I’ve had a few offers but then those have fallen through due to potential buyers finding a cheaper alternative or gone silent. Feel free to ping over a pm with your offer….
 
I think it maybe worth getting this on auto trader. I am surprised it’s not sold, there are not many face lift E85 3.0si out there and below £5000. I hope it finds a good home soon
 
Everyone wants your car for nothing when they’re buying and top dollar when they want to sell , either that or they’ll happily give 3k plus more from the dealer you sold it to😂
 
I’ve had a few people message me (here and on FB) saying that they think it’s overpriced due to XYZ reasons…..this is only my 7th Z4 so what do I know 🤦‍♂️

It’s going to go on Autotrader for sure. I was hoping an existing forum member bought it as it’s a great car, priced well and will stay in the community buy hey ho…

I’m not sure what people expect it’s a sub 5k 3.0si, that’s 20 years old!
