BMW Z4 2011 (breaks)

Hi Everyone

Nice to e-meet you all.

I have a beautiful Z4 2011, and keen to spend some money on cosmetics. And gain some advice on a couple of things.

1. The breaks - is like to find break callipers that are red any ideas on the best place to get hold of these ? I refuse to use a bmw garage after they tried to charge me £600 to remove a parking sensor I managed to sort myself by following a YouTube video !!

2. Any recommendations for LED light replacements?

welcome to the forum..simplest way to get red brake calipers is to paint your own, led lights?..no idea personally but I'm sure someone will be able to help you out

You can replace the DRL H7 bulbs with LEDs,

Rear brake /reversing and number plate lights need to be canbus compliant and/or you need to be able to code the two levels of bulb error checking out.

You even with canbus compliant ones get a very small amount of RFI which can cause radio reception issues in weak signal areas

Interior bulb kits are two a penny see ebay..

Hi CCTV1000 and welcome. What model of Z4 do you have? The brakes are different depending on the engine output (generally). Pbondar has some pretty mean calipers on his I believe, his is the N20 engined version. I have a 35i with the N54 engine and am in the process of adding front brake calipers from the BMW M4, which I am reliably informed that with the addition of a 370mm disk should bolt straight on.
So let the forum know what you have and also your wheel/tyre sizes and I am sure someone will be able to advise you.
