Same applies to wind deflector, hardtop etc etc - BMW could make money out of these optional, non-essential extras - so sold them as such

This si the guy that supposedly sold them for £190 last time- I offered £150 and he said no- I suspect he is either greedy or doesn't have them!

Im surprised someone hasnt built an after market set of these, specially as the OEM price is rediculous!

When I bought my Zed a few weeks back the previous owner had a set that he was going to sell. Personally didn't see the point in them as you have to remove them each time you want to raise the roof so all in all a bit of a faff. Great if you live somewhere where it never rains and the hood remains down all the time.

This was my thoughts when I bought my Z, and now 9years later I'm prepared to pay stupid money for crappy plastic parts as the car is a keeper and as such I want to have all extras!
