Always thought the 3.0si felt rather quick to 30mph - 1.7 seconds according to the following:

Surprisingly fast, especially when you consider they tested the lower powered American spec 3.0si!

The quarter mile is better than I expected on the SI, the car feels slow to me, but makes up for it in the chassis.. Even the M felt slow when I test drove before buying, but I don't think many cars would keep with a well driven SI or 3.2 one real roads.
Since fitting H&R and p zeros the car is a point to point weapon, the low flat power is an advantage if anything as you can keep it pinned much earlier, I don't think my laggy 944 which has about 210 HP more could get away without some long straights.

The 1st link cant be right in terms of the 0-60 of the 3.0i and of the 3.0si. The cars didn't get any heavier but did get more powerful so how can they be the same. Parkers is always good for facts and figures.

They are real test figures so depend on real variables.

On the same day at the same place on the same tyres with the same driver you would indeed expect the si to beat the i.

Parkers simply quote manufacturer's figures which are sometimes accurate and sometimes not.

US spec: is 255 bhp
Europe spec: 261 bhp (265 PS/195kW)
