BMW Warranty

So i finally got round to buying a Z4.

Found a nice 09 plate 35i DCT from a private seller.

I intend on buying a £0 excess comprehensive warranty from BMW for 48/month.
I was just wondering if it would cover me for the various engine faults the 35i suffers from. (Rough idle etc).

Would items such as new plugs/coils be covered?

Also os there any recalls on the 35i? Such as HPFP?

Hi, as long as the car has been serviced within spec you can get the warranty.

Usually the coil packs and sparks are not covered by warranty. I have never experienced the rough idle you speak of. The warranty tells you what it will and will not cover. If the issue is due to mechanical or electrical then it will be covered. Things like spark plugs and even coil packs these days are consumables.

There are no recalls out but if your worried contact bmw uk who will advise if you have any outstanding warranty work due.

Thanks Angie,

I did notice that the HPFP and injectors are other items that cause issues vehicles such as the 335i. The HPFP is covered according to other forums and I can't see the injectors being classed as consumable.
