Hi all-just opened a VIP pass to a 'closed to the public' event-just wondering how widespread these invites are?-me thinks they are targeting me for having an oldish bmw

where is the venue?
Stratstone Hull

I asked as a friend of mine attended a BMW event at Oulton Park. Thee were many different models that were there to be driven with an instructor besides the guest.

This one sound pants!

I've had a spate of these recently but I haven't been.

I should be getting an invite to the new M4 launch though. Which I will attend...!!
Good choice  I am really looking forward to the M4 too. :driving:

Picked up mine from a closed invite event.

Ended up with a tidy additional discount so I can't really complain!

I suppose the question we all have is, did they really give you more discount or just manipulate the figures differently? Always feels like a bit of a con to me things like this...

Well I was in talks with another dealer (same network and for the same car), went to my local dealer and after all the figures, the cost of exchange was less.

I guess it helps having a house full of accountants!

OK in that case perhaps there is something to it.... lets hope that they have that 520D M Sport Touring I've been hankering after then ;)

I've wanted to switch into a 5 series for ages. I don't want to spend too much though as I'm trying to get some chunks of mortgage paid off. Spent a small fortune on the e89 this last few months tho, probe £1500 in non run flat tyres, new exhaust etc... and that would be wasted so I'll have that in mind while they're working on how to save me £50 on a 42K car!
