BMW Track day

Any idea what it would cost for insurance for the day, my cover wont apply to track days!
You can run a quote on the MORIS website - but as a rough guide, work on £10 per £1000 cover, plus 10% of the declared value as excess.

So for £15k of cover - you don't have to insure the complete value, but you'll only be paid out up to the insured amount - you'd be looking at £150 premium and a £1500 excess (which you can pay to remove too).

If you use them often enough (and don't claim) you will get a small discount each time, and I think they still give you a small discount for booking early. For example, my 3 day trips to the 'Ring used to cost £360 for the 3 days, that's now down to £220 for the same cover.

Thanks for your info, Looking a bit expensive for me and my income now! Not ruling it out but?

As I said, you don't have to insure the full value of the car, so you could assess your risk and decide that £5k of cover is all you need, and thus reduce the premium to £50.

After over 100 trackdays, I only insure when I go to a new track to me or the Ring. I don't bother at Oulton (my local) or any other venue with the BMWCC.
