No I dont think it ever was, the glove box does not have its own light, so a torch would have been a bit crazy

When i sold my first 3 series the dealer told me to take my tourch out and put in my new 3 series is they didnt come with the torch anymore, so when I sold the second for the Z4 I did the same only to find no charger in the Govebox .

Have often though about buying the charging port though and nmoulding into the glovebox, it cant be that hard.

I put one of these in mine - it simply slots into the cigar lighter socket - although it does stick up slightly which means you can't close the ashtray cover.

I would go for MMM-Fives option, but only if you could close the lid

Plus it's great for checking brakes and stuff under the hood (bonnet). Really useful to have at the track. Make sure you have a bright one. I used to carry a maglight but have since switched to surefire as it's brighter lumens.
Plus my surefire doubles as a uhm skull cracker :evil:

I've just been to a self defence course, and the instructor had some very painful ways of using that torch....
