BMW stubby differences

I think I spend too much time on this forum as I've started to feel negatively towards my whippy :cry:

I'd like to buy a BMW stubby but can't understand why the same part number brings up two different designs. Anyone come across this before? I prefer the second one which is more 'stubby' to me.

Think I'll just buy from the BMW Dealer ebay shop and if it doesn't match the photo return it as I don't like the look of the first one.
 
If you must fit a stubby you can get a Peugeot/Citroen one on the bay for less than a tenner that looks just the same.
