Does anybody know of a good BMW specialist in the north west?

I live near Burnley, so anywhere within half an hrs drive would be useful.

Without a doubt give these guys a call. http://www.darren-wood.com/

Just off the M60 in Stockport/Bredbury. I can't recommend them highly enough.

2 Really nice guys, that are experienced ex BMW technicians. Always willing to give advice, and there isn't anything they don't know.

hopefully near enough for you....

Cheers normski

Good to know although that is a bit of a trek for me to be honest.

If I cant find anyone closer il give them a call.

I have used Northwest BMW for servicing: http://www.northwestbm.co.uk/

Very good prices and work done, they also have around 5 courtesy cars they can lend you (Kia's I'm afraid).

They usually give you a full report on any jobs that need doing or are going to need doing soon and all the costs. Seem a bit steep for this kind of thing though. I usually take their list, buy the parts online and have my local garage fit the parts for cash (things like bushes, top shock mounts, brake pipes etc on my old E46)

Thanks for that Oli  looks like a decent place.

What do you mean when you say they have good prices but then you say they are a bit steep?

I may be reading your message wrongly but could you please clarify for me.

Cheers

Sorry, im talking jiberish! The service prices are very good but when they price up the jobs that need doing they are expensive compared to me getting the parts and having them fitted at my local 'less specialised' garage.

They obviously lure you in with the service and make their money on the other bits!
