BMW specialist in the Peterborough area?

Could anyone recommend a good place to take my z4 to get the alarm sorted? It's driving me mad now and I don't dare think what figure the local stealers will come up with :cry:

I too live in Peterborough, well just north in Market Deeping, so there is finally another that lives here with a Z4 on the Z4Forum!

Well as far as I can see it, you have two options, 1 is the dealer at Sycamore's near Werrington, and the second is an indy. The closest you will find imo, and the one I have used is Benstens in St Ives. Very good.

I actually work in Market deeping but live in werrington. So my local stealers is sycamore BMW which is literally a 10 minute walk down the road for me. I've had them fix a leaky door membrane so far and I'm not overly impressed with them as it took them three goes to sort it out!
I currently have a 53 plate 2.5litre z4 in Maldives blue which I bought in the summer this year. She has 108 alloys and is in good nick for the year and mileage (66k). She seems to be afflicted with just about every common z4 problem in the book though :cry: apart from springs and roof motor anyway!

Your car sounds a beaut, can't believe you're thinking of selling her? The M's are rather tasty though :driving:

He does Porshes's mainly but does cater for BMW as well. He is good and has been around a while.

I bought my car from Listers of Boston,they are about an hour away from Peterborough,they also have a branch in Kings Lynn.

I have had no problems and found them very helpful.

I will pop in and at lunch and see what they can do for you, otherwise Benstens would be more convenient.

I presume you want your alarm resetting etc, or it goes off randomly or not at all?

The alarm has two problems really. It triggers whenever the hell it feels like it (tried changing the bonnet switch) and also the siren does not sound. It just flashes the indicator lights (and side lights too i think) for about five minutes. I'm suspecting a new alarm module is probably needed.

Cool - say hi to John from me - nice to know there are some fellow Peterborough Z4 drivers. Next time im passing i'll give you a shout (I work in London for Oracle.)
 
I really didn't know this many people on the forum lived in Peterborough.

I drive a black 3.0 roadster and live in Eye.

I'd recommend http://www.eliteautoworks.co.uk in the Bretton area of Peterborough (between the karting and the bowling alley).

They have done Insp2 service, airbag fault diagnosis and autologic settings for me.
 
I've not seen many zeds in Peterborough, was assuming I was on my own here :lol:
I was wondering about the elite Autoworks place. Definitely worth a look I think.

I've lived in deeping / Peterborough nearly all my life (well 36 of my 37 years anyway). Nice to know there are some friendly fellow z4 owners in the area :thumbsup:
