Yeah, I know. It got announced on the tannoy! I felt a right weapon when I had to go back and turn it off (kept it sly and in the pocket).

Was that the silver coupe? Alarm was going off for ages, I'm guessing because you left the windows open.

Was the white e89 with black graphics anyone from here? It looked very well finished!

Got back from 7 days in Ibiza yesterday without any sunburn, one day at Santa pod and I'm burnt to a crisp! Good job I brought my aftersun back with me.

Dan

I went along today, i saw a couple of zeds near the entrance and that was it, god knows where the other ones were.

I got to see the the jet car run. 0-275mph in about 5.6 seconds. Impressive is an understatement.

Will post a few pics later on.

Met Jamie_z4 today and saw Joycey driving about, saw idej_jedi's car parked up but you weren't around. Rally came over and had a chat. Saw one other z4m, a silver roadster. I was up near the drifting on BMW box stand with Jamie.

My face is a right mess!! Can't believe how hot it was.

Well new BMWShow 1/4 record has been set, last year it was won by a 35is with a time of 13.7424 - and this year was 13.62.

That quicker than any recorded Z3M, Z4M or even Alpina at the show.

And gues what - recorded the fastest time a 2 LTR, :fuelfire:

3 Wins: M3 E92 Twice & M5
1 Loss: M3 E92

Amazing result mate, well deserved I could see you had been working hard to achieve such a good time. Nice to meet some of the other coupe owners but I was mainly playing on the strip myself. Set a good benchmark of 14.2 in the 3.0si. Watch out for next year because there will be some forced induction mods  You now have competition @Twin turbo

Well, the conclusion of yesterday - that my Meth intercooler spray was not very effective -the only solution to heat soak has to be replacing the intercooler. And for day to day driving will not give any real benefit.

However, this opens the door for bigger performance gains of having Meth injection in the charge pipe.

But I will be dipping into my savings for the new Z4 fund.

However, I would love a dual with your supercharged Z 3ltr vs my little 2 ltr (with or without additional mods)

Well done TT
Lucky I didn't turn up with the auto in sports mode, aerodynamic whippy, French polished dash...would have taken some beating

Well had a quick google and for me spending over £3k - not really great value for money for me.

I prefer to invest in better breaks as I will get more enjoyment out of that. However, I am waiting for the news on the new Z4

But doing the quarter is about getting the power down and not spinning, and that was the key why I did fairly well. And won 3 and lost 1 against V8's. But from a rolling start the result would be very different.

So I am a North Korean in the arms race - underpowered and thorn in the side of the 3ltrs big guns.

That will be an epic battle. Like TT just said it's mainly down to getting the power down. It made a huge difference giving the tyres a gentle warming before the go. What I thought was one of my slowest runs turns out to be my fastest.

I think it would be really interesting I bet we will have similar numbers and if we both got clean starts. It would probably really highlight the differences between turbo and S/C.

I have never done a 1/4 mile and to be honest it's not something I would do. But this interests me. Like you say though it's all about the start and reaction times.

True that, It's not something these cars are built for but it is fun. What turbo setup are you running? We talking big boost all the once?
