BMW Seal & Protect kit - reviews?

Hi All,

I won myself a BMW Seal and Protect kit on eBay last night for £30 (bargain!) which consists of the following:

1. Genuine BMW Rucksack backpack bag with BMW word mark logo
2. Plastic Preserving Emulsion 200ml
3. Paint Sealant with Nano-Technology 100ml
4. Polishing Cloth
5. Insect Sponge
6. Hard Wax With Nano-Technology 375ml
7. Application Polishing Cloths
8. Alloy Wheel Cleaning Brush
9. Tyre Shine 200ml
10. Car Shampoo 1000ml
11. Alloy Wheel Cleaner Gel Spray 500ml
12. Impregnating Agent For Upholstery And Carpets 200ml
13. Bumper Shine 250ML
14. Chamoix Leather Cloth
15. Car Sponge
16. Soft/Firm Sponge
17. Luxurious Lambswool Wash Mitt
18. Tartan granny rug NOT included (thank god!) :rofl:

Has anyone else bought this kit, are the BMW products any good?

The only thing that excluded is a product to clean and protect the hood, so I'm thinking of buying the kit by Autoglym which seems to get good praise from owners, unless BMW do a similar hood kit that people find more effective?

I have just bought a can of the hood protector - I am thinking, is one can enough????
 
havent tried the others but the hardwax is amazing. dont you feel guilty at that price!!
 
Looks like a decent buy for the £
as far as i know,the bmw stuff is pretty decent(only used screenwash and car shampoo tho,that did a dcnt job)

re: conv roof clnr,i have tried trtlwax,a'glym and megs
the best,imo,at shifting general and ground in dirt/stains is the megrs convrtbl clnr (and the protectrs ok too :thumbsup:
 
I've used (and still have) the BMW roof cleaner and the sealer, they both did their job well and you get enough for about 4 applications of the sealer.
I found applying them helped rub away the light crease marks in the hood too.
 
Thanks for the advice on hood cleaners guys. I'm going to give either the Megs or the Autoglym kit a go I think, or possibly the BMW one if I can get it cheap off eBay.

Ksher, the RRP of the full Seal and Protect kit is well over £100 from BMW.
