BMW Scanner 1.4.0 ??

What's the story on BMW Scanner 1.4.0 and the E85? I can't seem to find much discussion on it here.

The only reason I ask, I'd like to shut off my daytime running lights (among my hobbies is amateur astronomy, and it's very unpopular ruining everyone's 'night vision' when they come on after dark)... the local BMW mechanic wants $97 to do it. I get the impression, that the scanner software MIGHT do it as well?

Thanks for any insights!

Forgive me... duh, I just saw a thread dedicated to the subject right at the top of the forum here.

So, it does appear that Scanner 1.4.0 will allow for 'toggling' on/off DRL ? Can someone share their experiences with this?

Thanks!

There is an alternative called Navcoder. Free bit of software and a physical device for a few dollars that plugs into the ibus where a cd changer might.

I have Bavarian Technic, NCS, INPA, BMW scanner, well most if them

BMW scanner is my favourite though, so easy to use and code with.
