BMW Scanner 1.4.0 - coding soft touch indicators

I got myself BMW scanner 1.4.0 and the cable for it over the weekend and it installed easily on my W7 laptop and connects so my car without issue. I can scan and erase fault codes and reconfigure a host of options on my car but I can’t find out how to do one thing.
I want to be able to “soft touch” the indicator stalk for 3 flashes of the indicator but I cannot find the option in the software. Has anyone coded this option and if so can you point me in the right direction please.

can you please advise exactly where you got this . ive just checked a couple for sale on ebay and i'm confused (to say the least), They all seem to indicate it is mostly a code reader, not a programming tool. several of the sellers say things like "Unlocked" functions to show possibilities of full version suggesting it is just basic code reader or they are only offering some sort of basic model.

i already have a professional code reader, but like you, i want to change some of the factory optional controls , eg door locking, interior lights. Do you know for sure your version will do things like this?? Do you happen to know if it will allow coding of new keys?

I got it from eBay for about £13. I will plug it in tonight and take a screenshot showing all the coding changes you can make.

I coded this option successfully with Carly. There is probably someone on this forum near you that could code it for you.

I will post the link later when I am at a computer and not my phone but I just remembered the software came on a cd and my laptop doesn’t have a disc drive so I only use the cable and adapter from eBay. I downloaded the software after doing a google search for it. I can email you the file easily enough though if you pm me your address.

The above screenshots show some of the options that can be coded using BMW Scanner 1.4.0
There are 3 pages of modules you can access (screenshot shows page 1) but a lot of them are not for the Z4.
Once you access a module you can read and clear faults and code options. It is really simple to use. For under £15 you should definitely buy it.

yes, it seems all german cars make reference to "modules' as described. often, one needs to know technical german to work out what the 3 digit code actually means as its typically an abbreviation of a german technical term. My Mercedes Sprinter van is much the same and i've repaired enough BMW's to get the hang of it.

If you search eBay for item number 401870151213 that is the one I bought but I’m sure they will all be the same.

update... i ve worked out my tool came with BMW scanner software 1.4.0.7. it seems like there is a a later version, .9. i'm trying to find that as that might be my problem

I know this is reopening an old thread, but I have a 2006 E85 and want soft touch/blink 3 times indicators but I can not find which module within BMW Scanner 1.4 to make this change? Does anyone know or have any luck making this change?
