Ok after seeing it done before I decided I liked it so much I would do it myself,

I think it fits very well with the M engine as there is no BMW Roundel on the engine cover (such as the 3.0 and 3.0si)
So I got a roundel from a board member, Who had already cut the 3 pegs off needed for the install so that saved me a little time,

I then glued it to the radiator cover and viola!
I think it looks great and should be there anyway,

Heres the pics!

Heres what I need your opinions about, I picked up a badge and want to hear what you think about it,
I just couldn't resist buying it, Even If I don't end up using it in the engine I like the badge,
Now I didn't stick it to the intake box, But I want to hear what YOU think of its placement there, A few people I asked said they liked it and it works well with the ///M badge already on the engine cover,
Personally, I'm on the fence with it, I like it, but I also like the look without it,

As mentioned Its not stuck just "placed" for the photos,
Let me know what you think!

IMHO no, it's like you have an M-Power intake...

Bit of a bummer that they dropped the M-POWER logos on the M-engines in favour of the nasty little M badge. Best one I ever saw was someone with an E30 M3 which had the rocker cover painted in the red, blue and cyan, but fading between the colours rather than hard edges.

If you could replace the M badge with the M-Power one I think it would be fine.

Well thats going to be tough as the M badge is sunken into the cover,

I seen something else I liked, I'll try to find a picture,

I have to say, I think there are enough BMW badges on the car already... so I'm more for losing them than adding more, but it certainly brightens up the otherwise rather dull engine bay.

I like the roundel more than the ///-Power badge though. I've seen those Power badges on the back of the occasional E36 "M3" (more likely a 318i), and i've never particularly liked them. The BMW M Power sticker looks better to me :)

Yeah I like that too, I would cut the /// stripes off the end though, Kind of like the Z8/M5 Intake plaque

Sure...I have been meaning too, just my car is as dirty as Jersey during the winter...Ill see what I can do this weekend.

Another NJ person very nice....
Here are my sightings:

A red z4M roadster and a Silver z4M Coupe in Princeton Area this past week
Blue Z4m Roadster in Hoboken, NJ
Black Z4 M Coupe (Just like mine) in Old Bridge, NJ @ the A&P.
White Z4 3.0si Coupe in Old Bridge, NJ

I wave to all of them, Only the Black coupe waved back.

Badges? We dont need no stinking badges  Seriously though, do what makes you feel good, my personal opinion is that it is just fine as is. I would agree with six speed that the car looks cleaner without so many emblems cluttering up the already beautiful lines. I do like the Roundel over the radiator cover. just my 2 bits.
