BMW Rochdale

Did you get them to check your vehicle with you before you handed over the keys.....?
I will do on Monday, but I'm also planning to get it filthy and telling them not to wash it - I've got the 'poster' ready

Although I'm also planning on getting the paintwork cleaned up in the next month anyway, so a small amount of washing damage won't matter too much now :headbang:

Well, I'm glad to say I've got my car back in one piece, and without any major issues or notification of extra work needed. Even had a nice chat with the service manager about ///M cars and he likes the older ones as much as me

The only minor niggles were that I wasn't called to say the car wouldn't be ready as planned, so made a wasted 90 mile round trip yesterday, and the service indicator wasn't reset when I came to collect the car today.

I didn't end up using any UV pen markings, but the 'telltales' I used (using silicone sealant) were tripped so they at least removed those 'covers', and I've also been given a copy of the shim measurements.

Saw another Z4MC in the car park too, don't know if it belonged to a customer or member of staff though.

With my Z having it's 6th birthday & the 2nd hand prices falling because of the wrong perception they're too jucy on fuel, getting it serviced by a performance specialist to me is a better option.

Gezza I know in Kent used to race an M3, car got sold a couple of times but used to still be maintained by him. It's last outing was when it was being run by the Red Bull team, where it was keeping up & tussling with Astons and Ferraris until a Ferrari decided to nudge the back and ended upmwriting it off totally.

He trades as Scotts Performance Cars Ltd in Dartford, and that price u have been quoted for a brake fluid change is robbery... should be changed at least very 3 years and mines being changed with DOT 5 (race spec), not DOT 4 when it goes in very soon for just a small amount more. Bet yr local Stealer won't do that.BIS also happy for you to source your own oil if you can get it cheaper... thanks Costco, again cutting down on cost.

Nice to have a full BMW SH, but not convinced now is really value for money if u can show you've had a knowledgable specialist...

WDYT?

was your car their yesterday?

i was there, I mentioned them in spotted thread
Yes, mine was there from Monday afternoon - only managed to pick it up this afternoon.

this weekend i lifted the bonnet to check the build date, i noted lots of rotten/decaying leaves, as the car was in for service only 2 weeks ago i was suprised, it would have taken them seconds to clear them, sure these leaves can eventually block drain holes, I think i may send a comment to the dealership

well i am now completly deflated with BMW Rochdale

are all the BMW Williams group the same?

There was one at David Holmes BMW (the only dealership within 30 miles that I trusted) that had been agreed they'd put my name on for their next 'refresh'.

Turned up for my next service and found they'd changed to a Williams dealership, had had a refresh, and had 'dumped' the Blue Z4MC tiled picture they said they'd keep for me (to buy, not just a freebie).

They also assured me that the service levels would be the same as all the same staff would be there. Unfortunately, whilst the staff remained consistent, the management/dealership processes were different/worse and I've not been back since.

It seems that the only people who praise the Williams group are those owners who simply don't care about how their car is maintained and simply want the stamp, cup of watery cappuccino and an amaretti biscuit

"Ignorance is bliss" I believe the saying goes :P
