BMW Roadster Homecoming 2008 info

Ok, back to the speculation! Zentrum site shows no tour shut down as they did this spring (one last tour would be nice). They also mention some big renovations and expansions at the factory this year along with showing the dates for Homecoming 2008. They link to the 07 homecoming site which we all know hasn't been updated. As others have said we should have heard something by now if we are 30 days out of registration. The last two years we have been lucky enough to be able to register while away from home. This year we will be in the air flying towards Chi town. Again if this is the last one, I think it will be special as we have made friends we now see only once a year, and to quote Ducks the regional idea will only be as strong as the regions are themselves. Our Jacksonville Fl BMW CCA is almost non-exsistent and we have no ZSCCA events in our region. Unless you count JackB1 and I! :driving:
PS Kind of neat, they show factory production numbers (on the factory site). Coupes are getting scarce!

Es correcto, JBZ4! My old man and I got a tour a few weeks ago while we were in SC for a father/son golf outing. I got to see the X6 before my Dealer even did! Way kewl time to just happen to be in town and be lucky enough to get a private tour. Lots of amazing stuff at that factory. I forget what all I'm allowed to say and what I can't, but I'm pretty sure it's ok to mention how "green" they are there. They are so "green" that they eat their coffee cups when they are done drinking their coffee... yep, that's right - of course it helps that the cups are made of an edible starch (I think I remember them saying potato something or other).

Does anyone know if they will continue having the homecoming after the Z4 production is moved to Germany?

Unlikely. The announcement will be made at HC 08 and it will most likely announce that regional meets will replace the national one.

So go home now, or go home never, so to speak. That's a big incentive for me to get my butt cross country! Plus a friend just had a baby in Alabama... it would be a good excuse to swing by and see the new addition to the BMW community.

Yup...this is going to be the grand finale. btw, it is 954 miles, one way, for me. Unless something very bizarre happens, I'm going to this one. Stay close to this forum, registration opens up during the second week in June. As we get closer, details will be posted.

2,300 miles one way here, that's if we take the shortest route, knowing Bob we won't... who wants to drive through Oklahoma anyways :D

Check out the web site!!
