BMW Roadster Homecoming 2007

Here are some of my pics from our trip east and then back west. My digital camera took a dump on me so the pics will start at Deal's Gap.

Notice all the smiles plastered on our faces. Twisties do that to a person.

After Deal's gap my tour guide ( COOLZ4 ), said he had some other sites to share, so off we went through some of the nice areas in The Great Smokey Mountains. We being from SoCal most of the trees are evergreens, so this was a nice change up for us.

This is Bridal Veil Falls

We lined up for our placement for the pano pic and you just never know who you might see wondering around the area. I talked this mans leg off for at least 20 minutes. Ken Sparks.

After the pic I was scheduled for the tech tent. This is where you have dents, paint, water leaks. and electrical issues looked at for the price of getting there ( and the cost of a new windshield and a throttle valve ). These people donate their time and effort to do this for us at HC. The scary part is when they break out the hammers.

I had 4 door dings, a water leak and some paint done. These people really love the cars as much as we do.

You ever get the chance to go to HC, do it. The people you meet are awesome. Yes, it's about our cars, however, the people that drive them is what makes this event great. Meeting the people that post on the forums, makes this special.

Robyn and I want to say thank you to our tour guide, COOLZ4, for making our first HC so memorable. There again, great people ( Rick and Kathy ).

 Awww, Bob, you make me blush with all your compliments. we were just doing what comes naturally for us when we are showing off. If it wasn't for the rain, we would have taken in some of the Blue ridge Mountains as well. :driving:

Here we go. Putting out the bait for next year. We do have a room waiting for us as we speak.

Hey we didn't make it to Bridal Veil Falls but it looks like they cleared out the road. Rick is that so??

Yes, that is so. They cleared the north side of it and made an asphault driveway all the way around it. Now, if they could have a bit more water falling down when I am there, I would really APPRECIATE it. :tumbleweed:

And I want to say that you and your wife are truly fantastic!! HC would not have been nearly as fun without the people of our forum getting together and having a good time. Look forward to next year and seeing everyone!! :D

Let's resurrect this thread with some pics....can you name these posters? (some are regular and some not so regular, some have gone on to other marques):

Received a nice holiday eCard today from Mr. Sparks.

Yeah, and they (he) is promoting the 2008 Homecoming. I better make reservations but I'm not going to stay at the Embassy Suites anymore.
