What do you think are my chances of my local dealer making me up genuine BMW number plates with the spacing, shall we say slightly illegal?

I've got a plate and I need to space out the last letter a extra space.

I know all plates are assigned to a garage now via a code, so if I get pulled the police can track it back to the garage that made it. I'm just wanting to keep my car OEM.

Not a cat in hells chance.

If you want something like that you need to get 'showplates' which also don't carry the garage/makers name tag. :thumbsup:
 
The car isn't OEM is you're going to put an extra space in. I personally frown at people messing up car reg spacing deliberately.
 
Plus you'll :driving: get your collar felt by PC plod when they're ANPR can't read your number plate. Not worth the hassle anymore.

No chance. I had some ugly cracked plates bearing the traders name who i bought the car off. Got some shiney new BMW ones which look SO much nicer.

My plate from the factory is one space away from looking like GOMEZ, i asked the guy if he could leave the space out. It wasnt that he wouldn't do it, but he said the machine only lets you make them in the official style.

Aye my dealer said the same, but I still got them made how I want them.

All sorted now. :thumbsup:
 
Just bought some for my personal plate from Halfords.
OK, not the cheapest (£30 for the pair) but look great, were made up there and then and are 100% legal.
If they print them imperfectly (eg one letter squint) you can demand they re-do them.

Black border line, 3D-effect font.
Best bit, the halfords name and code details are printed in teeny-tiny letters in white, so you can't see them at all unless you look really closely.
