Hi all,

Got a weird one with the M140i as the drivers mirror mount has started cracking :( Nothing serious but around 2cms long and the crack goes right through the pastic, really odd. The mirrors are electric folding so unsure its occured through stress. I always fold them when parked.



Dropped the car in at the dealers this morning to get a replacement fitted but some confusion ensued as the mount listed for my car from the VIN no. is a different colour to the ones actually fitted so they had to contact BMW to find out the correct part and order another. Left the car with them so hopefully will be sorted tomorrow.

Luckily its all being sorted under warranty, phew but I'm curious to know what the cost would be to sort it, I would think a couple of hundred :?

I would imagine so Andy, over a 100 an hour I expect :| Fair play to the dealer as they could easily have declined and said the mirror had been hit so grateful to them :cry:

Thats what they said, they would have declined if signs of other damage but theres none, rest if the mirror is perfect and I don't think it would crack like that when folded.
