BMW paint it or not?

Got a quote for a towing eye cover

It's £16.93 inc VAT/delivery. If you want a painted one it'll cost £52.93

Seems a bit steep for them to paint it, is this the only option?
 
So as it is finished in primer would I just need a spray can of Interlagos? Is this idiot proof? :cry:
 
I don't think you'd have much trouble, thin coats with drying time in between, then a few more of clear. I'm sure a local hobby shop could point you in the direction of a local club that could help if you weren't feeling confident. If the prep is already done and primed then should be straightforward :)
