Am posting this in the General Discussion as I know people can miss posts in the Meets and Events (Mods, if it needs to be moved can we leave it a few days?)

BMW Novice Track Days

Depending on where you go the price is £39 or £49. An instructor for 30 minutes is £25 and to hire a helmet is £10.

I would recommend booking soon - Brands is already full, am on the waiting list. Bedford is really open and a great first track.
 
I was really tempted by this but then put off by the cost of insurance - after you've taken that into account the benefit of the cheap track day suddenly disappears...

Unless I'm mistaken insurance is about £200? Anyone know of any cheaper?
 
I paid a little over £100 for my 2.5 (REIS), but playalistic paid around £75 for his with Competition Car Insurance for his M.

It can be hard to get hold of someone - hence I took the first quote I could get, so try a good while in advance.
