I bought a BMW leather and mesh wind deflector off Ebay about a month ago for my Z4, but when it arrived I was a little confused as to how you are supposed to attach it to the car. With the weather as it is, and little chance of the roof being down for who knows how long, I decided to leave that tricky question for another day. It was only last night that I saw somebody selling a similar item on Ebay, but this one came with fitting instructions. Is there any member on here, who has a copy of these instructions and would be willing to copy them and send me a copy?

I have one and found it impossible to fix using all the available straps. So when it's on in the summer I use only two straps, one at each end pulled very tight. No way will it come off.
I'm still in hardtop mode at the moment so can't send you any pictures, but from memory:
You should have 6 straps if it's complete. The side with 2 straps is the front, and the side with 4 (including 2 with velcro adjustment) is the back. The idea is basically just to slide the metal clips under the plastic trim around the bullkhead below the roll hoops and then pull tight. You'll need to partially raise the roof (just a few inches, enough that the cover lifts so you can get your hand in) to do the back straps. The velcro ones go particularly far down the back before you find somewhere to hook them, so they have the velcro to make pulling them tight easier.
It's actually really easy once you've done it once. Raising the roof a little bit is key.

Hey there, on the mesh windscreen, be sure to check out the strap adjustments too, to make sure they're tightly pulling the windscreen down onto the roll bars. Also, sometimes I've seen folks wad that mesh windscreen into a ball and then toss it into the trunk, and then the mesh develops a tear. Of course, the better thing to do is just leave it on your roll hoops all of the time. Also, there's a guide for all Z4 windscreens over at windscreen review (my favorite in the windblox). Anyway, you should be able to get the proper fit with that mesh windscreen on your roll hoops.
