Love most of the vid. But was there ever an M8. Our did he just make that bit up to get a few clicks??

I think the point was that the CSI carried a different set up than all the other 8 series - S70B56, more or less a highly tuned version of the 850i engine. It seems an odd decision not to call it an M given the sales cachet that would have resulted in. These days they attach the M to just about anything, including the SUVs.

Needed more power for a proper M8, the closest (which I'd love to own) would be an Alpina B12 5.7 which was a slightly beefed-up version of the 850CSi.
